Stylish
The interior has been thoughtfully renovated so it combines rustic charm with simple contemporary elegance. The layout is open-plan, spacious, light and airy. Guests always comment how immaculately clean the house is on their arrival.
The ground floor is comfortably and tastefully furnished. It has original exposed beams and a lovely cool floor made of beautiful reclaimed tiles .
The dining room has a large round table and can seat nine. In the sideboard are napkins and table cloths. If you're like us though, you will mostly eat outside under the shady arbour.
Practical
The large kitchen area is very fully equipped including a LA CORNUE cooking range, combi-microwave oven, fridge, brand new separate fridge-freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster and electric kettle are also all supplied.
Crockery, cutlery, pots and pans and everything needed by a keen cook (like decent sharp kitchen knives and a sharpener) are all in place.
The Kitchen is semi open plan and effectively two ajoining areas ; the main cooking area and an area with a large fridge freezer, breakfast bar and handy combination microwave/small oven.
Upstairs there are three, good-sized double bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a toilet en-suite, up the white steps. Bedroom 2 has a brand new, compact, en-suite shower-room with wall-hung WC, washbasin and shower. Bedrooms 1 and 2 both have large queen sized double beds. Bedroom 3 has a double and a single bed.
The house has high speed fibre optic internet/Wi-Fi and television is by Freeview satellite, which means you can receive all UK television and radio stations. There is Netflix and all French Channels are available via Orange Internet. There is also a good-quality DVD/BlueRay player.
The large family bathroom is downstairs. It is equipped with an elegant roll-top bath, large separate shower, washbasin, heated towel rack and underfloor heating. There is also a separate, wall-hung WC adjacent to this bathroom with a separate handbasin just outside, The washing machine is situated in a separate utility room that also houses the oil central heating boiler, drying rack, iron and ironing board. Outside there are also washing lines.
